Worship at Graafschap CRC
|
Worship is a central and essential part of the Graafschap CRC. Through the preaching of the
Bible, praise to God in music, prayer, and the presentation of our offerings we seek to offer true
worship to our God. This draws each worshipper into intimate and meaningful relationship with
God and with other worshippers. As a result, each worshipper is encouraged and empowered to
live in this world in such a way as to draw others to the Lord and into the fellowship of believers.
At 9:30 AM and at 6:00 PM, a blended worship format with a message from God's Word
intended to teach the truth of Scripture relevant to Christians in today's world and life situations.
Our music is planned to fit the theme of the service with the singing of hymns and songs of the
Spirit. We also enjoy choral or instrumental music from “yesterday” and “today”. In offering a
morning and an evening worship service, we follow the old path of a devout life, one that sets
aside the Lord’s Day and frames it with worship.
We believe that through these worship times and styles we can meet the wide variety of needs,
because “people need the Lord”. We welcome all comers, members and visitors alike. We intend
to minister effectively to worshippers of all ages, with or without past church experience. Whether
you are searching for an in-depth, thoughtful message from Scripture, an exuberant voice of
praise, or fellowship with other Christians who are also following Jesus, the Graafschap CRC
invites you into the presence of God.
Our worship ministry is guided by our pastor, Rev. Stan Scripps, and is supported by several part-
time staff and a great many who serve in various volunteer roles in music, media and the arts.
This ministry is really the thankful response of the gathered congregation of God.
Our worship services are televised on MAC TV channel 24 & 22 on Tuesday and Thursday
at 3:00 PM and Sunday at 12:30 PM and 7:00 PM.
